Bakdes 2019

On 3rd until 5th January 2019, our school, SMA Negeri 3 Bandung held an activity which is a form of our social responsibility and our care by serving a village. Our school chose Kertasari village as the served village. Kertasari Village located in Cibeureum sub-district, Bandung Regency. Kertasari Village located in the plateau of southern Bandung, so this village is suitable for farming and gardening since the air of this place is very cool and the land is very fertile.

We went there using public transportation. On the public transportation, we busied ourself with talking to each other. That was very fun, until we finally arrived at the village meeting hall to held the opening ceremony. After attending the ceremony, we went to our foster family. Our foster father and mother was Mr. Asep and Mrs. Elis. When we arrived at their house, we are very happy and excited, because our bedroom located in the second floor of the house, the only one room on the second floor. So, it was like we have  a private room. Our foster parents' job is food seller. They sell fried snack, and other breakfast food on their porch. In the morning, their porch was full of village workers who looking for some food to start their day. We helped our foster parents by cleaning their porch and other helpful stuff. Not only helping our foster parents, we also often play together with children in Kertasari Village. 

During the bakdes, we also visited some interesting places for refreshing. We visited point zero of Citarum River. It is the point where the huge Citarum river started. We also visited the legendary tea factory. We visited that places using rented open-top medium truck. We were very happy because we have done many good things for that village. On the last day, we were very sad because we had to leave our foster parents and Kertasari Village. Before leaving that village, we took some photo with our foster parents, we also asked for Mr. Asep's telephone number to contacted at some time. That was one of unforgettable moments in my life. I would like to come to that place again one day.
